How do I register to take the class officially?

You can register online for Geography of Virginia (GEOG380).

The bad news is that if you register late, there is no "make up" quiz for Quiz 1. The good news is that the lowest 2 of the 12 quizzes will not be included in the final grade, so missing the first quiz is not a significant problem.

Official registration will enable you to earn three hours of undergraduate credit, provided you get a grade of D or better in the class. If you are not in a degree program at George Mason University - no problem, the university welcomes Non-degree students.

If you registered early, but failed to get tuition payments credited to your name in time, the cold and heartless GMU computer system will drop you automatically. You may have to re-register - but do it by close of business at GMU on the last day to add classes. Check the status of your registration via PatriotWeb at https://patriotweb.gmu.edu

If you miss that deadline for re-registering for whatever reason, I can not "add" you to the class. It does not matter if you have actively participated in the class prior to that date, or paid once but were then kicked out by that heartless computer. Threatening to beat your fists on the floor and hold your breath until you turn blue won't help either. This is a hard deadline - class roster is final, so don't let the registration and payment process trip you up.
